LIMITED LIFETIME STRUCTURAL WARRANTY

Every Anderson engineered hardwood floor is manufactured using our exclusive Cross-Locked Engineered® process. This process permanently locks the plies together to deliver more dimensional stability and split resistance than ordinary solid oak lumber. In the event that the plies solid oak lumber. In the event that the plies
should separate due to glue bond failure, Anderson will, at our option, either:

(1) repair the defective plank(s);
(2) replace the defective plank(s); or
(3) refund the purchase price

This warranty is a limited lifetime warranty for all first quality Anderson engineered products. Solid products are excluded.

LIMITED WARRANTY FOR RESIDENTIAL FINISH WEAR

Our no-wax, factory applied finish makes hardwood floor installations fast and easy. Every plank is ready to install right out of the carton. There is no need for sanding or staining. With our UV-cured finish you gain the assurance of superior durability and wear ability. Anderson will warrant under normal residential conditions and uses, and providing that Anderson’s maintenance guidelines are strictly followed, that the finish will not wear through or peel off of the hardwood flooring for the time listed below:

25 Year Finish Wear Warranty for RhinoTuff® and Duratina®
15 Year Finish Wear Warranty for Freedom FloorsTM

In the event that the finish wears through or peels off of the hardwood flooring, Anderson will, at our option, either: (1) replace the affected plank(s); (2) recoat the affected area; or (3) refund the purchase price, for the affected area ONLY, prorated over the remaining life of this limited warranty. NOTE that this limited warranty extends only for defects that cover at least 10% of the surface area of the installed flooring. NOTE: Gloss Reduction and Scratches in the finish are not considered surface wear and are not covered under this warranty. Please note that Maple, and Pine floors require extra care. Light colors will show dirt and require more frequent maintenance than dark colors. Maple, and Pine are inherently smooth wood and will show scratches and dents more readily than Oak or Pecan. You should consider these factors when making your flooring selection.

LIMITED LIFETIME ADHESIVE BOND WARRANTY

Anderson will warrant that the floor will not release from the sub-floor due to moisture migrating from beneath the sub-floor, ONLY under the following conditions:

(1) At the time your Anderson floor is installed the sub-floor is visually dry with no prior history of moisture problems and,
(2) The Anderson engineered floor is installed according to the Anderson installation instructions using either A.F.B. Duck-GlueTM or , A.F.B. Duck-ThaneTM adhesive. If the planks should release from the sub-floor Anderson will at our option repair or replace the loose plank(s) ONE TIME ONLY or refund the purchase price (as further defined below). This is the sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty. Anderson will only be obligated under this limited warranty if testing approved by Anderson conclusively proves that the adhesive bond failure resulted from moisture migration from beneath the sub-floor only. This limited warranty shall not apply if moisture comes from any other source (including but not limited to plumbing leaks, flooding, rain, landscape watering/irrigation, wet or damp mopping, or other causes listed herein).

This limited warranty covers ONLY adhesive bond failure and does not cover damage to the hardwood flooring as a result of sub-floor moisture migration or any other source of moisture. If the subfloor moisture migration occurs a second time, it will be presumed that the problem is specific to the site and/or was caused by the improper application of A.F.B. Duck-GlueTM or A.F.B. Duck-ThaneTM. Any damage resulting from these causes is NOT covered under this limited warranty.

SPECIAL NOTE: WARRANTY LIMITATIONS FOR STAPLE-DOWN OR NAIL-DOWN INSTALLATIONS (APPLIES TO ALL WARRANTIES UNDER WHICH ANDERSON IS OR MAY BE OBLIGATED).

Our products are not warranted against squeaking, popping or crackling when using staple-down or nail-down installation methods. Some squeaking, popping or crackling is possible when using staple-down or nail-down installation methods. In addition, Anderson floors are not warranted against staple or nail pullout from the subfloor.

SUBFLOOR MOISTURE DAMAGE LIMITED WARRANTY

Anderson offers a solution to moisture emission concerns with concrete subfloors. A.F.B. Duck-ShieldTM used in conjunction with A.F.B. Duck-GlueTM or A.F.B. Duck-ThaneTM adhesive offers a moisture reduction system second to none and is highly recommended for engineered flooring only.

Anderson will warrant against damage to your engineered hardwood flooring, such as delamination, discoloration, twisting, warping or buckling due to subfloor moisture migration, under the following conditions:

(1) When Duck-ShieldTM is applied in accordance with all label directions, and is used in conjunction with A.F.B. Duck-GlueTM or A.F.B. Duck-ThaneTM adhesives; and
(2) When your hardwood flooring is installed in accordance with Anderson’s installation instructions (which are included with your purchase package). This limited warranty runs for 10 years after the date that the A.F.B. Duck-Shield™ is applied. This limited warranty does not apply to Special Series.

Floors or solid wood floor products.

In the event of damage to the hardwood flooring due to subfloor moisture transmission caused by seal failure when the above stated conditions are met, Anderson will, at our option, ONE TIME ONLY either:

(1) repair the defective plank(s);
(2) replace the defective plank(s); or
(3) refund the purchase price

This is the sole and exclusive remedy under this limited warranty.

Anderson cannot be certain of compatibility of other seals and adhesives other than the compatibility of A.F.B. Duck-ShieldTM with A.F.B. Duck-GlueTM/A.F.B. Duck-ThaneTM adhesives. In addition, Anderson does not warrant the performance of other manufacturers’ flooring products. BE AWARE THAT cracks in the concrete subfloor MUST be repaired in conjunction with application of A.F.B. Duck-ShieldTM. Migration of water through cracks in the concrete will void these limited warranties. Also, moisture from above or flooding of the surface of the hardwood flooring is NOT covered under these limited warranties.

RADIANT HEAT LIMITED FLOORING WARRANTY

Only the following Anderson Engineered products are approved and warranted (floating installation only) over radiant heated sub floors provided that the floors are installed in strict accordance with the Anderson installation guidelines pertaining to radiant heated sub floors:

Della Mano
Desert Oak
Desert Hickory
Sierra

The only limited warranties for the products listed above are the Limited Structural Warranty and the Limited Warranty for Residential Finish Wear described in this warranty.

The following guidelines must be applied throughout the life of the floor in order to reduce the affects of radiant heat on engineered wood floors.  Even when these guidelines are followed it is still possible that your flooring may experience some cracks (seasonal checking) on the surface, gapping between boards, or delamination of boards. These symptoms are not covered by this warranty.

The above listed engineered products can only be installed over radiant heated subfloors using the floating installation methods approved by Anderson. The temperature and humidity levels described below must be maintained otherwise any warranty, express or implied, will be voided. After the flooring is installed, slowly raise the temperature to the preferred comfort level (over at least 5 day timeframe) beginning two days after installation or at the onset of colder weather conditions.

- The radiant heat system must be controlled and the surface temperature of the flooring must never be allowed to exceed 82°F.
- The proper humidity level (35%-55%) must be maintained within your home at all times during the year. Use of a humidification system may be required to maintain proper humidity levels to avoid excessive drying of the wood flooring.
- Seasonal gapping should be expected.
- Surface checking can be expected if the proper humidity level is not properly maintained between 35-55% R. H. or if the floor’s surface temperature exceeds 82°.
